Rep Smith thanks voters and volunteers for reelection victory

Rep. Smith released the following statement regarding the November 2020 election:

It continues to be a true honor to represent the people of New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District.  Helping people, solving problems, here and around the globe could not be more rewarding.

I want to thank the fine people of Monmouth, Ocean and Mercer Counties for sending me back to Washington, and I pledge to continue to fight for you.  I am absolutely committed to protecting people with pre-existing conditions, Lyme disease, Alzheimer’s; I will press on in the fight for funding for autism; I’ll continue to work around the clock to safeguard women and children from human traffickers; and, of course, continue to help local families dealing with COVID as we act to reopen the economy—there is so much yet to do.

Thanks to all of the volunteers who worked so hard on my campaign, all of the poll workers and election officials who will be working into the night and likely for days, and to all of the post office workers without whom our ballots would not have been delivered.

To every voter, every volunteer, every election worker: I am truly grateful.  I am more enthusiastic than ever—your voice and vote always matter.

November 3rd, 11:30pm—Smith is winning in all three counties: Monmouth, Ocean, and Mercer.
