More votes than any other congressional candidate in New Jersey
Toms River, NJ– Congressman Chris Smith (R-Manchester) racked up another big win
crushing his democrat opponent by a whopping margin of +37 points (more than 2-1) in
his Jersey Shore congressional district.
“Chris’ win underscores that as the voters see his accomplishments and the benefits he
brings home for us, the stronger his support grows,” said Jessica Rohr, Smith Campaign
Manager. “It’s amazing and inspiring,” she said.
Smith ran on his record of legislative success in Washington and legendary casework
assistance for constituents and local communities back home in New Jersey.
In fact, the popular, hardworking Smith, was recently named the “New Jersey
delegation’s workhorse”, by the New Jersey Globe, the state’s most widely read political
website.
Similarly, the 2024 edition of the American Almanac of Politics said “Smith’s tenacity has
made him one of the most successful legislators” and that his “devotion to principle and
his reputation for tending to constituent problems have made him popular in the
4 th district.”
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve in the Fourth District once more,” said
Smith. “I will work every day to continually earn your trust and support. Now more than
ever, we have to create an economy that’s strong and a nation that’s safe,” Smith said.
“We can and must build the future on freedom and a government that’s accountable. I
look forward to beginning that work in the new Congress.”
Smith was re-elected with a monstruous 257, 166 votes capturing way more votes raw
votes than any other candidate in all 12 congressional districts across New Jersey.
Speaking at rallies in both counties in his district, Smith thank both Monmouth Chairman
Shaun Golden and Ocean County Chairman George Gilmore for their extraordinary
leadership bringing in strong Republican victories up and down the ticket.
Smith also gave insight to the promising work ahead. “With President Trump at the
helm, we are in the best position to peel back the damage done in the last four years by
the Biden-Harris Administration: restore our global, economic leadership and energy
independence, and eliminate the threat to US citizens and our national security created
by the Biden/Harris open border policies.”
Smith, who will be sworn in to a 23rd consecutive term, is NJ’s longest serving member
of congress in history, and is tied for currently tied for serving the longest in the current
congress.
