TOMS RIVER – Following the unanimous reelection endorsements for Rep. Chris Smith (R-Manchester)) from both the Ocean and Monmouth County Republican Conventions, Smith’s campaign today submitted paperwork to list him on the June 2nd Republican Primary ballot. The state-mandated petitions were signed by 2,214 qualified primary voters—only 500 are required.

Smith has consistently delivered gains and improvements for his constituents’ safety, finances, and quality of life. He is “absolutely committed to creating and pushing solutions that improve lives and health.” From securing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding for district-based projects and initiatives, to fighting to protect New Jersey’s coastline from the dangers of offshore wind industrialization, to authoring critical legislation to assist our veterans, increase and improve federal research of autism and Lyme disease, as well as prime authorship of five
comprehensive anti-human trafficking laws—Smith has always put the needs and priorities of the people first.

Smith stated, “It is an honor and privilege to work with President Donald Trump and his administration, our extraordinary Republicans leaders here on the county level—our Commissioners—our state legislators, and local officials as we fight for sound, pro-growth policies that benefit Ocean and Monmouth County families and  individuals, while securing federal funds and assistance.”

The voters of his district overwhelmingly supported President Trump during the last presidential election cycle, and if reelected, Smith will continue to help advance the President’s agenda to deliver economic relief to families. For example, the President’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act—the Working Families Tax Cut—was supported by Smith and is resulting in an average tax refund of over $3,700 this year.

President Trump has given Chris his “complete and total” endorsement, posting on Truth Social: “He is working hard to Grow our Economy, Create GREAT Jobs, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Help Secure our already Secure Border, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, Defend our always under siege Second Amendment, and Ensure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.”

“I have the record, experience, determination and commitment to continue the fight for the district and the American people. Much work remains to be done,” Smith said.
